Deaf man sues Pornhub over lack of closed captioning

Yaroslav Suris is suing pornhub cause he can’t read what is going on in porn videos. It seem that the site’s lack of subtitles violates the rights of deaf and hearing impaired under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) according to Suris. I find it odd that the website actually already has closed captioning. Even the Vice President of Pornhub Corey Price had this to say

“We understand that Yaroslav Suris is suing Pornhub for claiming we’ve denied the deaf and hearing-impaired access to our videos,” he told the outlet. “While we do not generally comment on active lawsuits, we’d like to take this opportunity to point out that we do have a closed captions category.”

Now i can’t actually post URL’s to actual videos but if you search “Close Captioning in the search bar you get results with videos that have the “CC” icon near the title of the video.

Mom learns of daughter’s back seat prank after she’s pulled over in ‘high risk’ stop

Only in california you have people as stupid as this one. A woman was pulled over due to many phonecalls from worried people who saw a sign in the back seat area of her car. Ends out it was a prank the drivers daughter was doing and the parent didn’t even know about it!?

Around 5:02 p.m., officers received reports of a girl in the back seat of a moving vehicle holding up a piece of paper that read, “Help me.” The car was initially reported to be on Highway 99 in South Sacramento.

Officials eventually located the car on Highway 99 near 8 Mile Road in Stockton and made a “high-risk” stop.

Officers said the girl’s mother pulled the car over and they were able to speak with her.  That’s when officers say they found out the girl had made it all up, and that she thought it was a fun thing to do.

The woman didn’t know what her daughter had been doing and officers let them leave.

Snippit from Fox 8 WGHP

It wasn’t mentioned how old the kid was but any kid at any age shouldn’t be doing things like this. According to the article 6 cops were involved in tracking the car down to see what is going on. Those 6 cops could of stayed on their patrol routes to answer to better things than this. Only in california you have kids like this. Who knows what other things kids do these day.

Kids are growing up these day hooked to a social network that shows pranks and they think that if a famous person can do it then they can too! Monkey see monkey do is the proper term. I am not aware of any youtuber, instagramer or ticktocker that does pranks like this to even make the kid wanna do this. I grew out of watching stupid things on the internet to even know about things but i am aware of certain famous people who do things like this for entertainment and they make millions.

Maybe the kid was pissed at their parent and wanted revenge? Who knows? Either way don’t do any pranks unless you know what you are doing to not make it worse. I don’t wanna hear some person couldn’t get help fast enough cause cops were spending time messing with pranksters.

New bill could add ‘sexting’ lesson to sex ed classes

It seems there has been a lot of new things talked about that is related to kids. This one is the weirdest of them all. Because of high use of cell phones among teens we are in a world where we now want to teach our kids about sexting during sex education within our school system. This may be tested in the state of Illinois who is proposing such a thing. As i mentioned in my last entry about “banning use of cellphones until age 21” a lot of kids these days have a smart phones. It’s way too easy to share photo’s as well as videos these days. Back when i was a teenager cell phones didn’t even have cameras on them and if you did have one it was a top of the line phone you got with a contract and there was no true way to share unless you download the pictures to your computer. Now you can take pics/videos and upload to instagram which is a hit program a lot of teens use these days. With programs like snapchat you can take a photo and send it to someone where once they open it will be deleted. There are ways to extract the photo as well as the videos. Parents are always finding a way to prevent such things but kids always find apps that pretend to be one thing and really something we at least expect.

With how easy it is to talk to anyone these days using a fake profile and all you never know who is on the other side. Imagine your teenage daughter texting a guy she met online who she thinks is her age and starts sending the person nudes. It ends out being a 40 year old pervert that probably is on a list somewhere. Having this type of sex education is needed but i personally feel it needs to be done by the parents and not of a school teacher. Also limiting the use of cell phones could help resolve this but don’t forget about laptops and webcams in general that could be used for “private shows”

What are your thoughts on this? Do you have teenagers yourself and worried about this type of thing?

Pampers sells a diaper with a sensor on it

The Consumer Electronic Show is going on in Las Vegas and every year companies show off their new products. One of the least expected companies had a new product meant for new parents. Presenting the smart diaper!

It comes with a special camera that keeps an eye on the sensor that is put on the babies diaper. It’s supposed to help detect when the baby urinates or takes a poo. It even monitors the baby when it sleeps to help parents know if it’s sleeping or not. It seems we are in a world where we need to rely on technology to help see what is wrong with a baby.

Not only was this showed off at the CES but you can order it now! Only $349! It’s a must have if you can’t take care of a baby like many have done for thousands of generations.

Proposed bill would ban cellphone use for anyone under 21

The state of Vermont is proposing a bill that would ban the use of cellphones of anyone under the age of 21. I find it crazy we are in a world where we have to resort to such a thing as this!

The bill, S.212, would make possession or use of a cellphone a misdemeanor punishable by a maximum of a year behind bars or a $1,000 fine or both.

According to the legislation, there are links between cellphone use by people under the age of 21 to a rise in driving fatalities, suicides, mass shootings and terrorism.

“The internet and social media, accessed primarily through cell phones, are used to radicalize and recruit terrorists, fascists and other extremists,” the bill reads.

Snippit from Fox 8 WGHP

The whole talk about recruiting for terrorist, fascists and other extremists is too stupid to bring up as a reason. Kids these days are glued to their cell phones! I have 3 teenage nieces and I know how they are with their phones One of them will be doing drivers ed soon! I can imagine her behind the wheel.

Technology in general is too easy to obtain these days and people are spending a fortune of them too. I find it very strange that kids need a brand new Iphone that is worth over $650 where you can get the same thing for $89. Either way it’s a drug that needs to be regulated. Banning at 21 is too much though. Most teenagers between the age of 18 and 21 don’t go to college right away and have jobs that require a cellphone. Banning up to age 18 is better IMO. Now like i mentioned above this is only a proposal but it doesn’t stop other states to follow what Vermont is doing if this does pass. What do you think?

Florida woman lists ‘manatee’-shaped chicken tender for $5,000

A woman from tampa Florida was eating chicken tinders one day and noticed one of hers looked like a manatee so she put it on facebook marketplace for the LULS.

This is becoming a thing where a banana sold for over $100k last month in an art museum. People would do anything to try to get a quick buck. Will this ever sell? It’s still on the market and unsure how long things on facebook market lasts but the screenshot i made shows it was from 5 days ago so we may see soon if someone is stupid enough to pay for this.

Crazy overpriced PC’s and more!

I felt a little nerdy tonight and was looking at tech stuff. Came across a video about a guy who was given a PC with a PS4, XBOX One and Nintendo Switch all built in! No it’s not emulated they are the real deal all in one box!

As you can see by the video it’s one of a kind but you can read more about it at https://www.originpc.com/landing/2019/big-o/

I did took the liberty at seeing how crazy of a setup i can buy from originpc and no i didn’t purchase these. Maybe if i won the lottery… There are two i chose from which is a regular PC tower and a laptop

As you can see this went as high as $10,664 and that is with the biggest of everything you can get for this model. There were two options where it was either the PS4 or the XBOX One. A bit pricey for my taste but it can be your if you are crazy enough to buy it! Want something on the go?

The EON17-X for the price of $5,778 has all that you need for a gaming rig on the go. With RTX2080 8 GB Video card this laptop will be the best for you gaming needs on the road. This setup is the best of all options available and even threw in a headset so you don’t bother people when playing DOOM.

Want something smaller?

Linus from Linus Tech Tips created a crazy little monster of a PC that is a size of a GPU. Here are the minor specs of the PC he built. You would have to watch the video yourself to get the full specs of each part

  • AMD 3700X CPU
  • ASUS Strix X570-i Motherboard
  • Gigabyte RTX 2060 Mini
  • Noctua L9a AM4 Cooler
  • Corsair LPX Memory
  • Corsair PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSDs
  • SilverStone Flex ATX PSUs

Scientists want to move the Sun and our Solar System to save Earth from killer asteroids

While it’s something you may hear and see from a sci-fi movie it’s something that is actually possible in the future.

Cartoon render of idea from scientists – screenshot from video

It was devised by physicist Dr Matthew Caplan and explained in a video from German YouTube channel Kurzgesagt.

FOX News Article

I find his theory quite intriguing. The idea to move the sun while the planets are in orbit does sounds crazy but it’s not like we can move the sun at light speed but with enough speed so the planets won’t get out of their orbits. I find it neat we can think about that things as humans cause we are curios creatures who will eventually explore our galaxy. When will this happen? Not in our lifetime but it’s good to know there are people out there looking out for the human race.

Some of the reasons for this is the possibility of many outcomes to the end of the earth such as known asteroids that will potentially hit earth in a certain time frame. The neighboring stars out there that can go super nova and hit our actual solar system. Hell in my own opinion there may be advanced civilization out there that may know of our presence and we can fool them by moving our planets! This may end out a great prank for future ET’s to arrive in our sector and swear there were supposed to be planets here!

Gretal & Hansel (2020)

It seems a fairy tell we all know of is going on the big screen but it’s not going to be one of those films you wanna take your kids to see. Gretal & Hansel tells the story of two siblings that get lost in the woods and find a house made out of food. It seems that in this version instead of the house being made out of food the witch just makes a lot of candy. There seems to be more to it. There are other kids that seem to be involved in this movie and there is more then one villian? Hard to say if this movie will be worth watching but if you are into films like this then go see it on January 31st.
