Deaf man sues Pornhub over lack of closed captioning

Yaroslav Suris is suing pornhub cause he can’t read what is going on in porn videos. It seem that the site’s lack of subtitles violates the rights of deaf and hearing impaired under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) according to Suris. I find it odd that the website actually already has closed captioning. Even the Vice President of Pornhub Corey Price had this to say

“We understand that Yaroslav Suris is suing Pornhub for claiming we’ve denied the deaf and hearing-impaired access to our videos,” he told the outlet. “While we do not generally comment on active lawsuits, we’d like to take this opportunity to point out that we do have a closed captions category.”

Now i can’t actually post URL’s to actual videos but if you search “Close Captioning in the search bar you get results with videos that have the “CC” icon near the title of the video.

Mom learns of daughter’s back seat prank after she’s pulled over in ‘high risk’ stop

Only in california you have people as stupid as this one. A woman was pulled over due to many phonecalls from worried people who saw a sign in the back seat area of her car. Ends out it was a prank the drivers daughter was doing and the parent didn’t even know about it!?

Around 5:02 p.m., officers received reports of a girl in the back seat of a moving vehicle holding up a piece of paper that read, “Help me.” The car was initially reported to be on Highway 99 in South Sacramento.

Officials eventually located the car on Highway 99 near 8 Mile Road in Stockton and made a “high-risk” stop.

Officers said the girl’s mother pulled the car over and they were able to speak with her.  That’s when officers say they found out the girl had made it all up, and that she thought it was a fun thing to do.

The woman didn’t know what her daughter had been doing and officers let them leave.

Snippit from Fox 8 WGHP

It wasn’t mentioned how old the kid was but any kid at any age shouldn’t be doing things like this. According to the article 6 cops were involved in tracking the car down to see what is going on. Those 6 cops could of stayed on their patrol routes to answer to better things than this. Only in california you have kids like this. Who knows what other things kids do these day.

Kids are growing up these day hooked to a social network that shows pranks and they think that if a famous person can do it then they can too! Monkey see monkey do is the proper term. I am not aware of any youtuber, instagramer or ticktocker that does pranks like this to even make the kid wanna do this. I grew out of watching stupid things on the internet to even know about things but i am aware of certain famous people who do things like this for entertainment and they make millions.

Maybe the kid was pissed at their parent and wanted revenge? Who knows? Either way don’t do any pranks unless you know what you are doing to not make it worse. I don’t wanna hear some person couldn’t get help fast enough cause cops were spending time messing with pranksters.

New bill could add ‘sexting’ lesson to sex ed classes

It seems there has been a lot of new things talked about that is related to kids. This one is the weirdest of them all. Because of high use of cell phones among teens we are in a world where we now want to teach our kids about sexting during sex education within our school system. This may be tested in the state of Illinois who is proposing such a thing. As i mentioned in my last entry about “banning use of cellphones until age 21” a lot of kids these days have a smart phones. It’s way too easy to share photo’s as well as videos these days. Back when i was a teenager cell phones didn’t even have cameras on them and if you did have one it was a top of the line phone you got with a contract and there was no true way to share unless you download the pictures to your computer. Now you can take pics/videos and upload to instagram which is a hit program a lot of teens use these days. With programs like snapchat you can take a photo and send it to someone where once they open it will be deleted. There are ways to extract the photo as well as the videos. Parents are always finding a way to prevent such things but kids always find apps that pretend to be one thing and really something we at least expect.

With how easy it is to talk to anyone these days using a fake profile and all you never know who is on the other side. Imagine your teenage daughter texting a guy she met online who she thinks is her age and starts sending the person nudes. It ends out being a 40 year old pervert that probably is on a list somewhere. Having this type of sex education is needed but i personally feel it needs to be done by the parents and not of a school teacher. Also limiting the use of cell phones could help resolve this but don’t forget about laptops and webcams in general that could be used for “private shows”

What are your thoughts on this? Do you have teenagers yourself and worried about this type of thing?

Pampers sells a diaper with a sensor on it

The Consumer Electronic Show is going on in Las Vegas and every year companies show off their new products. One of the least expected companies had a new product meant for new parents. Presenting the smart diaper!

It comes with a special camera that keeps an eye on the sensor that is put on the babies diaper. It’s supposed to help detect when the baby urinates or takes a poo. It even monitors the baby when it sleeps to help parents know if it’s sleeping or not. It seems we are in a world where we need to rely on technology to help see what is wrong with a baby.

Not only was this showed off at the CES but you can order it now! Only $349! It’s a must have if you can’t take care of a baby like many have done for thousands of generations.
